After the initial visit to the area designated for the installation of the plant and following the execution of the purchase contract and receipt of the deposit of five per cent (5%) down payment, the supplier will present the buyer with a comprehensive installation plan that will outline the precise installation and operation schedules. It will incorporate any site-specific requirements relating to the connection to the local electricity distribution grid, plant layout, road access, etc.

The plan will also outline the details of the management and staffing required, as well as detailing the training program for the local management and staff. In most instances, given the high degree of computerization of our units, the normal staff complement can be as low as twelve per shift. The supplier will, if requested, present the buyer with a proposal to provide ongoing management and servicing. Alternatively, the plants can be built and transfered, directly to the purchaser, with ongoing training during the first few months of the plant operation. The contract will specify the warranty on all parts and labour and the units will be fully operational before any transfer to the purchaser.

The buyer will have the responsibility of providing the plant site and all the required permits and licenses, including any permits required to import equipment or to connect the plant(s) to the existing electric power grid. Prior to the development of final unit designs, the buyer will be required to provide the parameters of the local electricity distribution network. The units supplied will be equipped with connections and generator(s) compatible with that network.

Time to install a unit

250 tpd plant     9 months
500 tpd plant    11 months
1000 tpd plant  13 months

Initial site development would typically commence within six weeks of contract signing and, wherever possible, Cinergex would endeavour to utilize the services of local contractors and suppliers for as much of the construction work as possible.

Major components would begin shipping withing 16 weeks, with turbines/generators having the longest lead times, often up to 10 - 12 months.

Systems are typically designed with redundancies, wherever possible. For example, while it is possible to build gasification units of almost any size, any plant over 500 tpd would, typically, include 2 - 250 tpd units, and, as plant sizes increase, multiple units ranging in size from 250 tpd to 400 tpd would be recommended.

Personnel training typically commences 4 - 6 months prior to the planned commencement day for the plant.

Access to a small volume of fuel (propane, natural gas, diesel oil) is required for the re-starting of the gasification units after any routine shut-down.

Maintenance

The units are capable of operating 365 days per year but there may be some times in the year when the units are shut down for a few hours in a day to do some maintenance. The only significant ongoing maintenance item is the replacement of the olivine liners in the gasification units, every two years. Replacing each liner panel takes less than 30 minutes and the complete re-lining of a gasifier would be accomplished in less than one day.

Major components are sourced from internationally recognized vendors and access to parts and service, even after the original warranty has expired, is readily available. The system boast a very sophisticated control system and the durability of the gasification units and the other key components ensures that plant availability will remain high throughout the life of the facility.

 Power Unit Installation Schedule

Before the exhaust air is discharged into the bag house a dry spray coats the sub particles in the air with lime or bicarbonate soda. Then exhausted to the baghouse at 370C.

The emission control system includes almost 500 sleeve-type filters, which last approximately 2 years depending on type of waste being processed.  A back draft will clean the particles off the filters and the particles will fall to the floor.

Filters are 6" x 8 ft long. 4 filters per square foot. Bag house is 20 ft x 8 ft.
